APRIL

Dine With Furleigh & Bride Valley

Join Sommelier, Eric Zweibel, and Head Chef, Steven Titman for an authentic English pairing dinner with Furleigh and Bride Valley.

The Furleigh Estate, is based in West Dorset with all their wines made from grapes grown on the Estate. Their sparkling wines are made in the traditional method from Champagne, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. Bride Valley Vineyard's, Steven Spurrier was inspired by the unique chalky soils on his wife’s Dorset sheep farm and decided to join the English sparkling wine revolution.

Afternoon Tea

We try to make sure everything's special, and for many years we have welcomed guests and locals for our famous Afternoon Tea which can be enjoyed in the Conservatory, Whiskey Lounge, Drawing Room, or during finer weather, outdoors on the terrace.

You simply can’t visit Summer Lodge without enjoying a traditional afternoon tea in the setting of the tranquil garden, and sample some of the finest Dorset cream with your scones. Delicate finger sandwiches, freshly made scones and a glorious array of cakes and delicacies are served with a selection of speciality teas.

Dining with Robby & Romaine

Wine and dine with alternate courses prepared by Chefs Steven and Robby, and alternate wines served by Sommeliers Eric and Romain.

Robby and Romain have strong pedigrees. Robby was with Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park and the 2 star Michelin Martin Burge at Whatley Manor. Romain trained at Hotel du Vin in Winchester before winning the young Sommelier of the year UK in 2016 and taking on the 3000 bin wine list at the Vineyard.

Dive deeper into the world of whiskey with a tasting journey led by our resident expert.

Choose from a selection of tasting experiences, ranging from an introduction for whiskey novices to a mind-blowing selection of rare and unique whiskies for the connoisseur, each comprising of three superb whiskeys served with a delicious assortment of oat cakes, dried fruit, smoked fish, cheese and chocolate.

Tastings range from an entry level classes an elaborate education.

The Bar at Summer Lodge is known for the incredible array of single malts and blends in The Whisky Lounge.
