In collaboration with Art Appreciation Tours, we are hosting informal art talks which discuss current exhibitions on display. The discussions will be led by Art Historian Jennie Spiers.
Each study morning takes place 10am - 1pm in the Dorchester Suite. The cost is £30.00 per person which includes refreshments and pastries.
The EY Exhibition: Van Gogh and Britian

Discussing some of van Gogh’s work displayed in this exhibition, which brings together ‘The largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings in the UK for nearly a decade.’ Inspired by the art of Constable and Millais when he lived in England, van Gogh carried these influences throughout his career and his art in turn inspired artists such as Francis Bacon, David Bomberg and the Camden Town Group. The exhibition is on from the 27th March - 11 August 2019 at Tate Britain.
Montparnasse: Artists working in Montparnasse from 1910 to 1945

A study of the works of some of the artists who arrived in Montparnasse virtually penniless, Jean Cocteau once said that “poverty was a luxury in Montparnasse”, we will discover a colourful array of highly innovative artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Nina Hamnett, Fernand Léger, Chaim Soutine, Modigliani, Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Constantin Brâncuși and Man Ray.
