The Haynes International Motor Museum is the UK's largest collection of the greatest cars from around the world with over 400 amazing cars and bikes from the dawn of motoring in the late 1800s through nostalgic classics of the 1950s and 1960s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces to world renowned super cars like the Jaguar XJ220.
Located just off the A303 at Sparkford in Somerset the Museum currently offers 19 individual exhibitions and it is very much a “Museum in Motion” with tours, talks and activities for families, children and enthusiasts alike. Packed with precious metal, the Haynes International Motor Museum is truly a world class motor museum.
From a monthly breakfast club, to learning how a car functions, Haynes International Motor Museums offer several fascinating experience throughout the year of 2020 for you all to explore.

Haynes Breakfast Club
Calling all motoring enthusiasts! On the first Sunday of each month we host a breakfast club which is open to all marques. As well as meeting other like-minded enthusiasts, owners can chat over a coffee and a hearty breakfast (from a Full English to a bacon roll) in Café 750. The very popular Museum café is open from 8.30am on Breakfast Club Sundays. These events are free to attend and are a real opportunity for vehicle owners to show off their prized possessions at the front of the prestigious Museum.

Haynes Breakfast Bikers' Ride-in
Calling all biking enthusiasts! On the third Sunday of each month we host a breakfast ride-in which is open to all marques of motorcycle from 9am - 12 noon.
As well as meeting other bikers, participants can chat over a coffee and a hearty breakfast (from a full English to a bacon roll) in Café 750. The very popular Museum café is open from 9.30am.
These events are free to attend and are a real opportunity for vehicle owners to show off their prized possessions at the front of the prestigious Museum.

Half term: How does a car work?
This February half term bring your budding engineers to learn how a car works in fun, family friendly workshops for ages 5-15. In these fun and interactive drop in sessions, discover how a car works, learn what happens under the bonnet and explore the handling collection. Then join the team for a special behind the scenes visit to the Haynes Workshop where you can see car restoration in action! Event included with Museum admission.

School holiday: designing cars
This Easter school holidays, get inspired and design the car of the future! Calling all budding artists and designers, this Easter school break join our visiting local artist to create your own car design of the future. There are plenty of vehicles in the Museum to explore for inspiration, from family saloons to Formula 1, and our artist will be on hand to help you achieve your finished design with a variety of methods and materials. So, what does the car of the future look like to you? Will it still have wheels? Will it be powered by solar power, petrol or cupcakes? We'll feature our favourites on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. Event runs throughout the day and is included with Museum admission.

Somerset Day and VE Day Anniversary
Haynes International Motor Museum invites you to join us for a celebratory long weekend event that highlights both Somerset Day and the 75th anniversary of VE day.
As part of the event, our Workshop and Restoration team will restore the World War II Jeep from our Museum collection and tour the area, visiting schools, villages and World War II sites in South Somerset. Our mission is to highlight the important role of Somerset during World War II and uncover some local stories during our road trip. Visitors to the Museum during the event can enjoy a special display of other military vehicles of the period, together with the chance to handle original artefacts such as weapons, uniforms and equipment. Event included with Museum admission.

Half term: 'Get Closer'
This half term our popular ‘Get Closer’ event returns! This special event is for all ages, giving visitors the opportunity to lift the Museum rope on selected vehicles and explore inside and under the bonnet with a experienced members of our Museum team. Throughout the event we'll be focusing on different areas of our Collection, from Supercars to Memory Lane. Questions are highly encouraged, so drop in during half term and explore the Collection with us.
