Event: Weymouth Octoberfest at Brewers Quay
Date: October 1st to 2nd
England is famed for being one of the world's leading beer producers and a stop at one of the countless small local pubs located around the country is likely to give visitors the chance to sample a variety of real ales.
And visitors who are planning a stay in Dorset later this year will not have to venture far to enjoy such beverages, as Weymouth will once again be hosting the annual Octoberfest festival.
Taking place at the aptly-named Brewers Quay in the seaside town, the event will feature over 50 real ales and ciders brewed in the south-west, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Backed by the Campaign for Real Ale, the festival will take place on October 1st and 2nd and feature a number of other attractions alongside the locally-brewed tipples, including live music on both evenings.
And attendees who work up an appetite trying samples of the various ales, beers, bitters and ciders will be well catered for, as a spread of food will also be on offer.
The gathering might be ideal for guests staying at luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge and even those who do not fancy trying the drinks will have something to entertain them, as Brewers Quay is home to shops selling everything from collectible items to specialist foods.
And those who opt for the Get More From Your Stay package will be able to choose one of a variety of complimentary gifts to enjoy during their time at the hotel, including afternoon tea on one day or a romantic turndown each evening.
