Event: Celebration of local produce to take place in Dorset
Date: September 18th until 19th
There is an increasing emphasis at the moment on sourcing produce locally for both health and environmental reasons and those with a passion for such activity may want to visit Dorset later this year.
On September 18th and 19th, Deans Court in Wimborne will be staging an event celebrating the county's food and culture.
Entitled Feast of Dorset, the gathering will enable people to view and sample goods grown in the area.
Meanwhile, there will also be entertainment laid on in an enchanted secret garden and culinary enthusiasts will be able to watch cookery theatre.
Those looking to get close to nature will be able to take notes from beekeepers on hand at the festival.
In addition, a band will be playing and a number of producers and artisans will be present.
Deans Court gardens - which are not far from luxury Dorset hotel The Summer Lodge - are set in 13 acres and are partly wild, boasting a collection of trees, lawns, vegetables and herbs, among other things.
Those who stay at the hotel and opt for the Get More From Your Stay package will be able to choose from extras such as a complimentary bottle of Champagne on arrival, a light lunch for two or afternoon tea for two.
