Spirit of the Sea at Weymouth Harbour

Event: Spirit of the Sea – The Weymouth and Portland Maritime Festival
Date: July 3rd to the 16th

The Jurassic coast is home to some of the most stunning natural beauty to be found anywhere in the world and the people of Weymouth are understandably proud of it.

To celebrate its unique place in the local culture, a special festival is to be held featuring many events which highlight the importance of the Jurassic coast as a place to live and visit.

Called Spirit of the Sea, it involves various live music performances, a marine and leisure show, a regatta, seafood festival and much more.

There is also plenty for children to enjoy, including the Moving Tides Children procession, stories by the sea and kayak tours, meaning families staying at the luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge can find something to please everybody.
