Event: Eype Spring 2010 Book 'N Author Week
Date: April 19th to 23rd
For some, sitting down to a good book and losing oneself in it is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Those who enjoy a good novel will not want to be anywhere other than Dorset in late April, when some of the most accomplished writers in the country will come together for the Eype Spring Book 'N Author Week.
Among those attending will be BBC Radio 3's poet in residence Mario Petrucci, who will introduce the award-winning production Heavy Water: A film for Chernobyl, which was made following the publication of his book of the same name.
Joining him will be the likes of global warming sceptic Christopher Booker, Sir Ghillean Prance, who will present and discuss his latest work Rain Forest, Light and Spirit as well as The O of Home scribe Jennifer Kavanagh.
For book lovers, this is an event not to be missed and what better way to round off a literary break than by enjoying the Writers Weekend Package at the luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge?
This special event will see master raconteur Roger Collis joined by acclaimed novelist Marcelle Bernstein, investigative journalist Eric Clark and advertising copywriter Jim O'Connor to talk about their work and how they approach it.
The package also includes two night's accommodation in a Classic Double Room, a full English breakfast each day, attendance to three Writer Workshop sessions, a three-course dinner and much more.
