Event: Spring Bulbs and Daffodils Weekend
Date: March 27th and 28th
Spring will really be here when Sherborne Castle holds its Spring Bulbs and Daffodils Weekend, which will celebrate the nature of the season.
Running between March 27th and 28th, people attending the event will get reduced entry to the gardens and grounds.
The event will mark the pre-opening of the castle, as it does not open fully to the public until April 1st, staying open all summer until November 1st.
While at the event people can walk around the ground and sample the lovely flora and fauna on offer.
Included in the area is the lakeside walk, which has Sir Walter Raleigh's seat and visitors can also spot the 'Popes Seat' where Alexander Pope wrote an account of the gardens as they were in 1722.
If the weather is nice enough people can take a picnic to the event, so they can spend some time looking at the spring flowers.
After a day of nature loving, people can lay their head at the luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge. It has the Three Nights for the Price of Two package, including full English breakfast.
