Sherborne is considered by many to be one of the most picturesque and beautiful towns in the UK, with its abundance of medieval buildings making it attractive to history and architecture fans alike.

One of the central features of this pretty corner of Dorset is the Sherborne Museum, which houses over 15,000 artefacts, many of which were donated by local people.

It provides an opportunity for history fans to learn about the town, with a model of the old Norman castle, beautifully maintained dolls' houses and various examples of Sherborne silk on display.

There is also a large collection of photographs, paintings and drawings for visitors to enjoy.
