Event: Rattle of a Simple Man
Date: February 3rd until the 9th
Couples looking for a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can book a suite at the luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge and enjoy unrivalled comfort and class set in wonderful surroundings.
While on their break, lovers can head to the Lighthouse for the Ian Dickens Productions' version of the Charles Dyers classic comedy Rattle of a Simple Man.
Starring the Bill's Huw Higginson and Coronation Street's Clare McGlinn, the play centres around a timid football fan whose friends test his nerve by betting that he would not have the guts to sleep with a prostitute.
Keen not to be the shy weakling they obviously think he is, the man decides to call their bluff and says that he can and will take a working girl home and win the bet.
However, he cannot fight his shyness and he finds himself wanting to talk to the lady in question rather than seek physical pleasures.
As a result, the pair begin talking and carry on doing so, opening up to one another and becoming quite comfortable in each other's company.
Following on from the show, guests can return to the Summer Lodge and enjoy the delights of the Spa Package, which include Superior Room accommodation, an hour-long full body massage and an Elemis Taster Facial.
