Moors Valley Wood Fair

Event: Moors Valley Wood Fair in East Dorset

Put on your outdoor shoes and head out into the forest for the Moors Valley Wood Fair this September.

This annual event celebrates everything to do with wood, from ancient craftsmanship to modern forestry techniques.

Visitors can learn how to climb a trunk with the skill of a tree surgeon or simply watch from the safety of the ground, enjoying the music and food on offer.

All the action takes place in Moors Valley Country Park, which has something for everyone from families to outdoor enthusiasts.

As well as orienteering and long mazy walks, the park contains a playtrail, a narrow gauge steam railway and a golf course.

One way to explore the 750-acre site is by bicycle. Fortunately, there is no need to bring your own as rental is available.
