Minimum Requirements:
• Matriculation certificate (or the equivalent)
• A Hotel Diploma would be an added advantage
• Must be computer literate
• 1 year experience within Night Audit
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the front desk during night shift as directed by the Night Manager or Assistant Night Manager.
• Ensure a high level of product knowledge of The Oyster Box, the daily happenings in the hotel as well as the local area.
• Ensure that all guests receive a fast, efficient, professional and friendly check-in and check-out at the front desk.
• All customer queries and requests are to be handled in a polite and efficient manner thereby maintaining a consistently high level of customer service.
• Ensure that a high level of communication and liaison is maintained between Front Office and all other departments within the hotel.
• Adhere to company credit policies to ensure that all revenue expected will be received.
• Be aware of cancellation policies as laid out by the hotel.
• Post and file all dockets charged to individual guests, group masters and house accounts.
• Ensure that all Food and Beverage (F&B) prelists balance with the Opera system before running end of day reports and rolling over the system to the next day.
• Ensure that all the tasks that were assigned to you are completed and your cash-up is checked by the Assistant Night Manager or Night Manager.
