Assistant Banqueting Manager

Hotel: The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa

Job Summary:
·          To assist the Banqueting Manager to lead and organise the Banqueting Service Team, to set and maintain standards and to strive to always keep improving standards whilst maintaining budget and gross profit.
  
Minimum Experience or Qualification:
·          Must have at least 1 years experience in a similar position at a 4 or 5 star establishment
·          Computer literate – working knowledge of Point of Sale System (Micros advantageous) and Rooms Management System (Opera advantageous)
·          Excellent communications skills
·          Excellent command of English
·          Able to work flexible hours
·          Able to work weekends and holidays
  
Behavioural Requirements:
·          Fast paced; ability to multi-task
·          Socially focused; accommodating; good at building and maintaining relationships
·          Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures, “inclusive” decision-making style
·          Persuasive, “selling”, open and flowing communication style
·          Leads by example, willing to “jump in and roll up sleeves”, strong follow-up on delegated tasks
