Talented performers and knowledgeable speakers will be travelling to the Dorset region this summer to take part in the Beaminster Festival, which runs from June 30th to July 7th this year.

Taking place at various venues in Beaminster, the event aims to offer a programme of entertainment to suit all tastes, including musical performances from the Brodsky Quartet, the Brook Street Band and Louis de Bernieres, the Swinging Cotton Club and Eclectica.

Other highlights include stage productions of As You Like It and Babe: The Sheep-Pig, as well as talks by former politicians Anne Widdecombe and Paddy Ashdown, plus various other exhibitions, workshops and literary events.

On the final day of the festival, visitors will be encouraged to get involved in Beaminster's Big Day, a carnival-style finale that will entertain attendees of all ages.

This could be ideal for luxury Dorset hotel guests enjoying a Family Adventures Start Here package at The Summer Lodge Hotel, which provides all manner of special perks for holidaymaking families.

Guests can get stuck into tennis, cycling, swimming and croquet sessions, while also receiving access to entertainment options such as board games, videogames and DVDs.
