Night Manager

The Summerlodge Hotel are looking for a Night Manager to join the front of house team. The ideal candidate for the Night Manager position will enjoy working within a friendly and productive team and have excellent communication skills.

Situated in Evershot in the heart of the Dorset countryside close to Dorchester and Yeovil, Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, a member of Relais and Chateaux, is a leading five star hotel comprising 24 bedrooms and suites, a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, spa, heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and renowned for providing unrivalled levels of personal service. 

We are currently looking for a Night Manager to join the front of house team. The ideal candidate for the Night Manager position will enjoy working within a friendly and productive team and have excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities of the Night Manager will include:

  • Act in a responsible and professional manner at all times
  • Answering telephone calls/taking messages
  • Ensuring all keys are locked away
  • Perform late check in/ assist with luggage
  • Doing regular walks around the property and ensure safety, particularly fire precautions
  • Take breakfast/room service orders if required and write order checks for the Dining Room
  • Polish shoes for all rooms and return them accordingly
  • Close the spa, turn off the sauna, clean the pool and monitor the water level
  • Deal with guests enquiries and handover to reception when appropriate
  • Preparing handover for the day shift
  • Remain constantly aware of security and report or act upon any suspicious event
  • Carry out any reasonable additional duties as may be required 

This is a part-time position with shifts from 10.30pm to 7am on Fridays and Saturdays. This position also requires the candidate to be flexible to cover annual leaves.

  • Communicate effectively in English
